The sandy gold dress and matching hair accessory complements her warm skin tone.

An edgy hair style perfectly accents her simple buff-colored shift.

I know I've been playing with lots of bright colors recently, but flesh tones and neutrals are my forever-love. Blush, cream, and beige are always appropriate, fresh, and sophisticated. Just make sure you find the right neutral or nude for your skin type. The goal is to look less corpse-y and more classy.

A camel coat is an instant classic for women of all age. This one, with bell sleeves is especially stunning.

A lightweight blush scarf is a great go-with-everything accessory.

These ladies all got it right. If your skin tone is fair, opt for creams and paler shades of beige or taupe. Stick to warmer colors if you have olive or golden undertones. And dark skin can handle most shades, but avoid grayish taupes which accentuate ashiness.

Get the Look: If you're looking for some summery fashion inspiration that doesn't involve cut-off jean shorts, a wifebeater and Havaianas, here's an outfit comprised of neutrals that will keep you cool... and like you actually have some sense of style (never a bad thing!)-- even if you're just at a BBQ.  :) xo
