velvet goldmine

Proenza Schouler Fall Fashion 2011  If there's one thing I refuse to wear, it's printed velvet-- especially if said fabric happens to be shiny. It brings back too many painful memories of fabric shopping with my mom in the 80s. So suffice it to say, dream duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez's latest collection was not my favorite. Yet I admire these boys so much and so look forward to their show every season that I just had to feature them here. (Plus, they make my current favorite handbag.
